Dunedin City Council – Kaunihera-a-rohe o Otepoti

Cycling is a convenient, fun, affordable and healthy way to travel around Dunedin, whether to get you to work or school, for recreation, or to experience Dunedin’s scenery.

Our network of cycleways is growing and better than ever before. It’s still a work in progress, with improvements planned for the next few years. See our transport projects page for more information.

Now that more people are travelling around the city by bike, we’re becoming more cycle-friendly. We encourage people to take up cycling for transport and support those who already bike to do it more often. You can find information here to help you safely navigate the streets of Dunedin by bike.
