Andrew Simms (Chair)

Grew up in Dunedin, educated at Bayfield High School and Otago University. Started in the motor industry in 1980 working at Moller Motors as a car groomer and sales cadet. Since then I have built one of New Zealand's largest and most successful motor companies employing 220 people with annual revenue of $330M. In 2003 I purchased Islington, East Taieri where my young family and I now live permanently. Actively involved with Taieri cricket as a player and junior coach, and involved in managing a junior team at Mosgiel Football.

Motivated only by what I see Mosgiel, the Taieri, and Dunedin could be with stronger leadership and direction. All fees or income received from my community service are being returned in full to a Taieri based charity.
