There are a range of parking options around Dunedin.

Parking enforcement hours

Our parking officers regularly patrol city streets to ensure compliance with parking regulations.

Usual patrol hours are from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, and 10am to 4pm on Saturdays. Parking officers may operate outside these hours as needed.

Parking availability and restrictions

On-street parking spaces with time restrictions are zoned depending on the area and flow of traffic, including some areas zoned as clearways 7am to 9am or 4pm to 6pm, Monday to Friday. The general public cannot park in these parks during this time. Fees apply 8am to 6pm Monday to Saturday,

Pay by plate carparks are patrolled between the hours 9am to 6pm Monday to Saturday. Fees apply during these times.

There are also a number of off-street carparks around the city. Fees apply 9am to 6pm Monday to Saturday.

Parking in the city is free on Sundays however time restrictions still apply.

Carpark buildings have their hours of operation and fees clearly posted at the entrance of the building.

Check all the signs in the area so you don't get caught out.
