In February the Governors <strong>Bay</strong> 19-yearold<br />
will be off to Iceland with the Ice Fernz<br />
for the world ice hockey championships.<br />
Ice hockey is not a high profile sport in<br />
New Zealand and for that reason paying to get to the worlds and<br />
other tournaments falls back largely on the players.<br />
It is a different story in Europe, Canada and the United States<br />
of course, where top line players are household names and<br />
command huge salaries.<br />
So Emma is running from Cass <strong>Bay</strong> to Diamond <strong>Harbour</strong> to<br />
raise money to help pay for her trip to Iceland. She will also give<br />
half of the money raised to Cholmondeley Children’s Centre.<br />
