• #3: Let’s start with the world today. Things all around us are changing rapidly, and organizations need to adapt. This is nothing new.  If you look back just a few years, we saw that organizations that had already invested in their own digital foundation were able to weather the disruption of the pandemic better than their peers, with many of them emerging even stronger than before.  We believe we're on the cusp of a similar inflection point today.  The pressures today are different. After years of disruption driven by the pandemic, industries are continuing to transform quickly. The global workforce is shrinking as the population ages, and at a macro level, labor productivity has stalled for years. And with a more connected global population, we’ve seen security threats emerge and evolve faster than ever.  But the pace of change hasn’t slowed. 
• #4: We are entering the age of AI. AI is going to profoundly change how we work and how our organizations operate. AI will provide a catalyst that will dramatically improve productivity if we apply it well. And AI is going to define new ways for humans to amplify their impact, their capability, and their unique potential.
• #5: We are at the starting point for the benefits and innovation AI will bring to businesses. OpenAI ChatGPT puts the power of AI in the hands of everyday users. Anyone can now prompt AI to generate original content and images in moments. The ability to create a poem about how generative AI will change the world is a preview of how AI will fundamentally change productivity and business processes, like those managed in a CRM or ERP, forever.
• #6: The third industrial revolution shifted digitized traditional processes, evolving to create new ways of organizing and accessing information, creating digital solutions to business problems, and engaging audiences in digital spaces. The 4th industrial revolution opens doors to transform how people focus time in the workday. Technologies like AI and machine learning, the ability to automate personal workflows and processes, and low code don’t replace human innovation, but amplify human expertise and ability.

• #28: The EY organization works with more than 200,000 clients in 150 countries, from startups to multinationals across all sectors, helping them address their most pressing challenges. The company used Microsoft Power Platform and fusion development to automate the high-frequency, semi-manual General Ledger posting process used internally by the EY Global Finance team that integrates with its SAP ERP system. The solution is currently being deployed globally. By enabling entry at source for this finance process, EY teams can reduce lead times by 95 percent, compared with the legacy process in which the creation of the source data and the input were separate.
• #32: Do more with your business data. Unify data across all your business processes to create apps and workflows that move data more efficiently across departments and divisions. The platform also offers seamless hybrid connectivity. Simplify complex data projects. Use Microsoft Dataverse included with Power Apps to easily store and secure different types of data across your organization – to build apps that work across data siloes. No advanced data experience required. Get a single source of truth across your organization. As Dataverse standardizes your data through the common data model, it’s easier to build and run apps using the same data. And because Dynamics 365 applications are natively built on it, you can also build apps without needing additional data integration. All with the enterprise-grade security and manageability of Power Apps.
• #34: Build solutions with less effort leveraging the simplicity of low-code enhanced with Copilot Build solutions with less effort using the simplicity of low-code enhanced with Copilot. Strike the right balance of no-code, low-code, and code-first. Build solutions with less effort with integrated, easy-to-use development tools enhanced with Copilot. • #36: By now you might be thinking, that’s great but I can’t put this in the business because it’ll just create more headaches. That would be true if you didn’t have support from what we believe to be an industry-leading set of security, governance, and compliance capabilities within the Power Platform. We built in capabilities for Security, Compliance, and Governance that gives you full control of the applications and data that are running in your business. Whether it’s a citizen developed application that you want to restrict access to just a handful of people, or a desire to approve any application that goes into production, you have full control over the data connections and a full history of activities in the platform.
• #37: I encourage you to Think BIG about how Power Platform can be applied in your business across the patters of value. The more you build on the platform the lower the cost per solution and, more importantly, the greater value is delivered across your business. And example of what I mean is Chevron. They started with Power Platform to solve a single problem and that paid off in millions of dollars of value. This led them to adopt the platform. Once the CEO heard about it, the question wasn’t “what’s our next app?”, instead he asked, “how do we transform 1,000 processes a year?” that was their big thing - what is thinking BIG for you? Here’s the full Chevron story summary: This is an exploration oil rig that’s off the gulf of Mexico. It costs half a million dollars to run one of these each day. And what software platform did Chevron historically use to run these half-a-million-dollars a day operations? Microsoft Excel. 57 spreadsheets, involving 40-60 expert humans, 9-12 months to plan a mission. Chevron tried multiple times to replace their spreadsheets with custom software. they spent $1M to build a bespoke piece of software and still that couldn’t produce something in production that their teams would use. It was incredibly difficult to take the requirements in the heads of mechanical engineers about mud oil viscosity and ball bearing fault tolerance and put that in the head of a software engineer to produce working software. Chevron hit pause on the project. They brought in a new team and Power Platform. Within 8 weeks, they had a pilot going in the field on an actual project. Couple months later, they standardized on it in the Gulf of Mexico. Couple months after that, they adapted it to other operating theaters. Within a few more months, they started commercializing it with a partner to transform their cost center into a revenue center. The reason I share this is because it’s a good example of the power of low-code. With low code, they were able to take the uninteresting repeatable parts of business software development – where are we storing the data, what data model do we use to represent products and schedules and services, how do express that as a web app and deploy it to iOS and Android and integrate it with AAD, how do we point it to other data sources in the organization? All of this takes time, but because Power Apps takes care of all these things, Chevron was able to focus time and effort on activities that were specific to their business process.
• #39: If you haven’t already, ask the customer these three questions: Which patterns resonate with you most? Are there projects in those patterns that stand out as priorities? Who else should we be talking to about this?
