DIGIDRAW

The DigiDraw Pilot is now in phase 3 -- for Summer Camp 2025!

Our team appreciates your patience as we work on navigating options to help registration for our high demand programs

more accessible for Palo Alto residents. The the DigiDraw, a randomized registration process, was designed to give

everyone an oportunity to participate in programs that fill up quickly. If camp openings remain, they will be available for

general resident registration on February 27 and for non-residents on March 6.

All Summer Camps (except for post camp and lunch bunch camps) are part of the Summer Camp DigiDraw.

We understand that with Summer Camps, being able to list out alternatives to a camp that may be full, is a necessity for

those scheduling summer activities. For Summer Camps, we are pivoting the DigiDraw pilot to be a form based

submission, and our team will process the information on the back end.

this is the form:

You will have from January 13 through February 16 to submit your digital form.

If a paper form is needed, please drop off all paper forms to the Lucie Stern Community Center.

IMPORTANT NOTES FOR SUMMER CAMP 2025 DIGIDRAW!:

Our team will be registering participants at random, February 18-21.

Please make sure you have a card saved on file. If you are randomly selected and we are unable to process payment to

confirm enrollment, we will move to the next participant. Once payment has been processed, your are officially enrolled!

If you need help or have questions, please call 650.463.4949 or email us at enjoyonline@cityofpaloalto.org

If the camp fills and you do not receive a spot, you will remain on the wait list of your top requested choice. We will

continue to randomly invite folks as spots become available. Participating in the DigiDraw does not guarantee

enrollment.

A few notes to make sure your account is registration ready:

1) Save your credit card on file before February 18, 2025

2) If applicable, apply for the fee reduction program before February 18, 2025, so if randomly selected, your

scholarship will already be on your account and applied to the registration. More information about the fee

reduction program is on page 11.

3) One form has the ability to acommodate up-to 10 camps, for up-to 4 campers. If there are more than 4

campers in your household, please fill out an additional form and send us an email so we can bundle your forms

together.

4) Only fill out the info for your camper once. Multiple forms for the same camper may lead to multiple

enrollments. Our refund policy will be strictly enforced.

Art Center CIT/LCIT

Summer Camp Counselors in Training (CIT) are

volunteers (12-18 years old) who assist professional art

instructors in the day-to-day running of the Kids and

Teen (KAT) Studio summer camps. CITs offer support

through classroom management, encouraging campers,

prepping art supplies and more. This is a great way to

earn service hours, develop and strengthen leadership

skills, and have fun in a creative environment. CITs

volunteer for a full week of camp, choosing a morning or

afternoon session.

CIT Orientation is required and will be held 1 HOUR

BEFORE THE FIRST DAY OF CAMP for the shift.

Participation in the orientation is mandatory. Even if you

have volunteered previous summers, you must attend

orientation. No exceptions can be made.

If for any reason we are unable to place you in one camp

session, your fee will be returned to you; otherwise, the

$75 fee is nonrefundable.

The Lead Counselor in Training (LCIT) program builds

on your experience as an Art Center CIT and provides

opportunities for you to help with CIT training, enjoy

mentorship from college Kids and Teen Studio (KAT)

interns, manage camper recreation, and take

responsibility as the LCIT for a one week session of

camp. LCITs may sign up for more than 1 week of camp!

The morning LCIT shift is from 8:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

every day; this includes the morning camp, camper

lunch, and the 12:30-12:45 p.m. transition to afternoon

camps. The afternoon LCIT shift is from 11:15 a.m. to

3:15 p.m. every day; this includes camper lunch, the

12:30-12:45 p.m. transition to afternoon camps, and

afternoon camps. LCITs should expect to earn 20 hours

of service per week. Instead of focusing on one camp,

LCITs circulate amongst the different camps during their

assignment and act as mentors to the CITs.

LCITs are self-starters who demonstrate excellent

communication skills, inclusive leadership, and strong

classroom management skills. Registrants will be

reviewed by the Education Department and LCITs will be

notified by mid-March.

LCIT Orientation is required and will be held before the

Woodworking Outdoor Camp

Welcome to Woodworkers Academy! In this outdoor

camp students will learn the basics of woodworking,

how to use various hand tools, building techniques, &

to use them, after which they can choose from a host

of pre-chosen projects as well as creating ideas of their

own. Projects can include birdhouses, toys, treasure

chests, book shelves and whatever we can think of.

Using our imagination is half the fun!

The tools we use include brace drills, egg beater drills,

Art Center CIT/LCIT*

*Full description is available in the Art Center

Camp section.

Summer Camp Counselors in Training (CIT) are

volunteers (12-18 years old) who assist professional art

instructors in the day-to-day running of the Kids and

Teen (KAT) Studio summer camps. CITs offer support

through classroom management, encouraging campers,

prepping art supplies and more. This is a great way to

earn service hours, develop and strengthen leadership

skills, and have fun in a creative environment. CITs

volunteer for a full week of camp, choosing a morning or

afternoon session.

Science Camp Assistant Program

Teens entering 8th through 11th grades in the fall can

serve as junior counselors, helping staff and campers

have a wonderful summer camp experience. If you love

learning about science and working with young

children, please email Alex.Hamilton@cityofpaloalto.org

in January, 2025, and request an application and

program registration information. Applications are due

in early March and interviews take place in mid-late

March. Placements are made in late March and early

April. Earn at least 65 hours of volunteer time toward

your high school volunteer requirement!

CIT Orientation is required and will be held 1 HOUR BE-

FORE THE FIRST DAY OF CAMP for the shift. Participation

in the orientation is mandatory. Even if you have volunteered

previous summers, you must attend orientation.

No exceptions can be made.

every day; this includes the morning camp, camper

lunch, and the 12:30-12:45 p.m. transition to afternoon
