What do you do if your job interview takes an unexpected turn?

Always remember that interviews are designed to judge your knowledge and the traits that are already present in you, so just focus on your strengths and stay cool and calm. Even some interviews are designed to judge your capabilities that how you will react against the difficult situations. So during unexpected turn during your interview, do the following: a. Stay cool and calm b. Be focused c. Accept what you don't know d. Don't be overreactive on the negative comments or the gestures of the interview panel. e. Focus on your breathe. f. Try to divert panel towards your strengths. g. Don't show nervousness. h. If you are not able to answer some questions properly, then focus on the questions that you know properly.

Stay calm yes and ensure you understand the pivot. If it's truly out of nowhere, there is usually a reason for the pivot and understanding where the interviewer is coming from or what the goal they have is for the question will be key. So yes, don't panic, but dig deeper or if you don't understand, ask for clarification. While it may be harder to stay calm in these scenarios, I often imagine I'm being asked by a friend to explain something vs. during an interview with an unknown party. At the end of the day, be yourself. If you're not the right fit or they don't have the right culture for you, thats still a win to know that.

I would say to listen always carefully and try to navigate through to see what else missing I need to work on. Sometimes interviewing people help you figure out missing pieces you never thought of were really important to tackle. Moreover, never try to be emotionally attached at the end of the day it’s a pragmatic fit and all about closing deals.

Also ask if there is anything else they wanted to know or if your response answered what they were aiming to understand. Or if there is anything you can clarify if it is rather technical or in the weeds. The moment of reflection is also good for building trust and clarification as industry "standards" can be interpreted differently (as much as they are supposed to be standards) or acronyms could mean something slightly different, etc.

Once upon a time i am sitting in the interview and i surrounded with few technical questions which asked from me i really felt like! Shit what will be the answer thoughts are their in the mind but confused how to make a structure of that because being nervousness. So i would like to give some short trips and trick which i am also using. When employer asking question first make a eye contact with him and try to introduce yourself in such a way that he or she may not be trapped you in any irrelevant question which is difficult to answer and frame answer which Qualifies your skills in simpler way and employer could understand you and taking up the decision for hire you.
