From my perspective, this situation is quite common, yet it has a very simple solution. When you invite for the meeting, you check yourself the time for the participants and write clearly in the meeting invitation "meeting is at 9:30 London time". Also, when you confirm the meeting, one day before, you also double-check this and make sute the other participant has understood the correct time of the meeting.

To ensure everyone is on the same page when juggling time zones for interview scheduling: Use a scheduling tool like Calendly or Google Calendar that automatically adjusts for time zones. Clearly communicate time zones in all invites and emails. Confirm the time with participants in their local time zone to avoid confusion. Provide a time zone conversion link or chart. Aim for overlap hours that work for all parties whenever possible.

One piece of advice for recruiters who mix up cross-time zone interviews (We have all been there) is to constantly double check time zones with interviewers and hiring managers. Make sure the candidate's time zone is reflected in your scheduling program (like Outlook). If multiple interview attendants are in various time zones or are globally positioned, be especially cautious of start and end times such as 8 a.m. or 4 p.m.

Scheduling interviews across different time zones can be tricky, but a few simple steps can help. Use tools like Google Calendar or world clock apps to avoid confusion. Confirm the time zone with all candidates and interviewers in advance. Sending reminders with the correct time zone mentioned will ensure everyone is aligned and on time.

It's not something difficult until you are well aware of the time zone's and able to schedule it accordingly. It would be better if we can use a calendar invite, so that everyone are aware about the schedule, we in recruiting go through these situations daily as we keep coordinating the interviews with both the client and candidates. So, it's has become part and parcel for most of them in their daily work schedule!

The key is leveraging smart digital tools like World Time Buddy or Every Time Zone, which instantly visualize global time differences and help pinpoint those magical overlap windows where everyone's working hours intersect. By proactively suggesting 2-3 specific time slots in each participant's local time and using calendar invites that automatically adjust to individual time zones, you'll dramatically reduce confusion and demonstrate professional, considerate communication.

Scheduling interviews across time zones can be challenging, but clear communication and effective tools can simplify the process. Use scheduling software that automatically adjusts for time zones and provides calendar integration. Clearly state the time zone in all communications and confirm the details with participants beforehand. Share a time zone converter link to avoid confusion and consider the participants’ preferences for a fair schedule. Building a buffer for potential errors and maintaining flexibility can help ensure that everyone stays aligned and the process runs smoothly.

I always try to keep things simple and straightforward. This ensures less ambiguity. Use any of the tools that are available like Google calendar or any scheduling app to find the most suitable and convenient time as per time zone and confirm time. Due consideration for the candidates’ time zone is important, because it is in our interest that the candidate performs at his/her best in the interview !
