Steve Walker attended more as a cyclist than a candidate, though it was fascinating to hear him talk about council decision making processes, which we will take on board when dealing with whatever council we get.

At this stage we decided to continue with the practice of putting questions to candidates (we’ll know who they are after nominations close on August 1). Broad outlines were discussed and we’ll have a wiki to continue developing the Qs. Other potential actions include attending meet the candidates events, leterwriting and particularly engaging in discussion with other electors. Also signing at least 5 new people up to cycling regularly before the next meeting (was that the 30 June? A bit early to try to avoid some people being unavailable) We talked about potential rewards for doing so. On my way home I realized that a pair of heated cycling gloves each might be apt.
